Do you dream about soaring over the RainWing Kingdom, training your very own Night Fury, or hatching a dragon egg of your own? Then grab your notebook and join us each week to explore the world of creative writing with a fun, fire-breathing twist!

Perfect for fans of Wings of Fire, How to Train Your Dragon, Dragon Masters, Dragon Girls, and every other dragon series out there, this class dives into fiction, personal essays, poetry, and literary devices — all using dragon-based examples.

This is an ongoing class — students may join or drop at any time, as material does not build week-to-week. Each week, students will explore a new creative writing skill, from crafting characters and building story worlds to using metaphors and writing short poems. The teacher will introduce the day's topic with dragon-themed examples, guide students through interactive discussions, and then it's time to write!

Kids will spend time creating their own stories, poems, and essays — each inspired by the mighty, magical dragons we all love. At the end of class, students are welcome (but not required) to share their creations with their classmates.

With new lessons each week, the Dragon Creative Writing Club is the perfect way to build writing skills in a fun, low-pressure environment! This class is best for learners who are able to write at least somewhat independently.

Sample Weekly Tasks:

🐉 Write a Fictional Adventure Starring a Dragon! Imagine a dragon as the hero of a thrilling story. Are they a fierce protector, a clever trickster, or a shy dragon learning to fly?

🐉 Write a Poem About a Day in the Life of a Dragon. Capture the highlights — soaring through clouds, guarding treasure, roasting marshmallows with a single breath.

🐉 Describe a Dragon's Personality Using Metaphors. Is your dragon a rumbling volcano, a gentle storm, or a mischievous spark? Learn to use metaphors to bring them to life!
