What parents/caregivers are saying about this class:
”Creative, funny, and fun! My son had a great time in this class every week. He loved Jackson's contagious energy and her enthusiasm for everyone's ideas.”
Jessica J.
“This is my 9 year old boy's favourite Outschool class. By the end of class he is so excited with what he has created he talks about it for hours. He finds it so inspiring that he continues to build on the ideas of class for days afterwards. But it is its ability to motivate this ADHD child to voluntarily write and compose that makes it his parents favourite too.”
Sofian
“This class is very well organized and creative. All students get a chance to participate well. It's been a huge hit with my 10-year-old son who LOVES "Wings of Fire" and animals.”

Create a Dragon Tribe
$21 per session
Join us to create a dragon tribe based on a different animal each week! This class is a great combination of directed social hour and Wings of Fire fan club.
Each week, we'll start with an inspiration animal-- like sharks, leopards, or even pangolins! Using that animal as our inspiration, we'll decide what our dragon tribe eats, which will help us break down how it hunts, where it sleeps, and of course, what it looks like. We'll then decide if our dragon tribe has any special skills or abilities, and if we've got time, think on the tribe's history and culture. The teacher writes down the details on the whiteboard and and guides the discussion as learners combine storytelling skills with knowledge of the natural world, creating a dragon that feels both realistic and fantastical-- just like the tribes in the Wings of Fire series!
This is a fun, social class that encourages teamwork and discussion while also increasing our knowledge of storytelling, biology, and writing. There is not officially an art component of this class, but students are encouraged and welcome to draw along as we create the tribe! They're also invited to share their work at the end.
